Shannon Gravitte

Shannon Gravitte serves as Vice President of Public Affairs for Florida Hospital’s Central Region, where she leads government relations, community impact and communications. As part of the senior leadership team, Gravitte assists with the overall strategic direction of Florida Hospital, particularly as it pertains to the public, media, charitable giving, community impact and governmental affairs.

With more than 25 years of experience in public affairs, Gravitte brings a depth of understanding of the critical integration of health care with government and social responsibility. Prior to joining Florida Hospital, Shannon served as vice president of Government and Community Affairs for Mears Transportation Group. Her experience also includes serving as Director of the Florida office of Hill & Knowlton Strategies, Inc., where she managed public affairs for a diverse clientele that included Volkswagen, Accenture, St. Joe and Health First.

Shannon’s public sector work includes serving as senior advisor to former Congressman and Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum, and former Orlando Mayor and Florida Secretary of State Glenda Hood, among others. She also directed local and state governmental affairs for Universal Orlando and spent five years as a Capitol Hill press secretary.
