Dean Asher is a broker/owner with Orlando’s Don Asher & Associates, Inc. On the local level, he is active in the Orlando Regional Realtor Association, formerly serving as President and now as Past President.
Asher is also deeply involved on the state and national levels and was the 2013 President of Florida Realtors. He recently served as Regional Vice-President for the National Association of Realtors in 2015.
Asher is a leader in the Orlando community, contributing through a variety of positions. As part of his commitment to a life of public service, he was President of the Central Florida Fair in 2009 and was chairman of the Orlando Municipal Planning Board from 2006 to 2008. Governor Scott appointed him to the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority in July 2012, where he is the current Treasurer. He is on the board of Metroplan Orlando; is on the Board of Trustees for Florida Tax Watch; and as an Eagle Scout recipient continues his dedication to Boy Scouts of America by sitting on their Advisory Board.
Asher was named one of Orlando Business Journal’s “Top 40 under 40” in 2007. Other honors include Orlando Regional Realtor Association’s “Realtor of the Year” designation in 2004 and the Florida Realtors’ “Realtor of the Year” award in 2014. Florida Realtors has presented Realtor of the Year and Associate Realtor of the Year awards for more than 50 years. Winners are honored as the greatest individual lifetime contributors to their local Realtor board, community, state association and the National Association of Realtors.
